I remember my first solo trip almost a decade ago. I was young, naïve, and bold. I was tired of planning trips with friends only for everyone to back out. I was getting older so I said F it and booked a 3-day weekend to Costa Rica. Not only was it my first solo trip but it was my first international trip. Big cojones energy. But deep down I was very unsure of myself and honestly quite scared. There were so many things that could go wrong. Thankfully, that trip was a success and since then I found travel to be a way for me to grow as person.
Fast forward to today, I got fired from my full-time job which pushed me to pursue my passions seriously. I started content creation in the UGC space. I found success quickly but I also got scammed. The scam put a sour taste in my mouth but what made me drift away from it was the scripts I had to rehearse. Am I an actor now? I can’t get these lines down for the life of me (yes I even tried a telepromoter app). It just wasn’t fun for me — at least for the long haul doing gigs for any type of brand.
I saw a post on Instagram about UGC in the travel space. It was an aha moment for me. You’re telling me I can get paid to travel without having mass amounts of followers? Sign me up! And the rest is history. I decided to start this blog to go in depth with my travels because I love sharing the information that I wish I knew while travelling.
Other things I like to do are watch wrestling (I acknowledge my tribal chief iykyk), shopping, astrology and hiking. Of course I love spending time with my family and friends and I’m trying to incorporate them more in my travels. I hope you gain more from this blog than I do 😉
